FIREMIKS® is designed and consists of two functional parts that are connected to each other by a direct mechanical connection. The FIREMIKS dosing system is driven exclusively by the flow of water directed towards the fire. No additional energy source is required for its operation.
The water flow from the fire pump passes through the FIREMIKS hydraulic motor. The flowing water rotates the blades of the hydraulic motor, and this rotation is transmitted through the shaft of the metering pump. The dispensing pump delivers the foaming agent into the water stream, thus creating a working solution of foaming agent.
Since the hydraulic motor and the dosing pump are connected by a direct drive, the flow rate of the foaming agent is directly proportional to the water flow.
Types of FIREMIKS pipettes:
1. PP (Piston Pump) - Pipette with plunger pumpFIREMIKS - PP is equipped with a powerful plunger pump that provides very precise dosing. It is similar to a piston pump, but the principle of operation is steeper and more reliable. It is used in systems with a low starting flow rate (sprinkler systems), as well as for low-viscosity fire extinguishing agent concentrates (wetting agents) dosed under high pressure. The unit is located so that the foaming agent concentrate flows by gravity (free flow) from the upstream tank (reservoir) into the dosing pump.
Please note that for the plunger pump, the supply of PU by suction is excluded.
2. GP (Gear Pump) - dispenser with gear pump
FIREMIKS - GP is equipped with a gear pump and is particularly suitable for systems with higher flow rates: for carriage guns (monitors), fire engines, drenching systems. This type of GP is suitable for high viscosity fire extinguishing agents. It is recommended for installation both by gravity flow of the foam concentrate and by suction (the tank should be below the level of the GP pump).
3. FIREMIKS mobile unit is used as a convenient addition to stationary systems in fire and rescue operations. It has a carrying handle, a frame on wheels or can be placed on a trailer, depending on the weight and size of the dispenser. It is easily connected to fire hoses and can be adapted to any foam generating equipment. Multiple hoses of different lengths can be installed to ensure effective extinguishing.

The FIREMIKS dosing system has many advantages
- Convenient and effective dosing system for fire fighting
- Flexible, easily adaptable to different fire situations
- Compact, easy to install.- Provides stable pressure.
- No additional power source is required for its operation.
- Environmentally friendly.
- Safe, reliable and easy to operate, with low noise levels.
- Works with almost all types of foaming agents, including high viscosity alcohol resistant types and low viscosity wetting agents.
- Can be used with various types of nozzles, with different heights and lengths from the Firemix dosing unit. Changing the diameter of the pipes/hoses, their length from the dispenser to the nozzle does not affect the extinguishing agent supply parameters.
-The materials used are PTFE coated, hard anodised. The water motor has an aluminium PTFE coating. Other parts are also made of corrosion-resistant materials: brass, AISI 316 stainless steel, PET.
-The dosing pump can be easily flushed with water via an internal flushing line.- -FIREMIKS is available for both fixed installations and mobile use and can be easily adapted for semi-permanent installation.
Information for engineers
- The popular and demanded dosing of 6% PO is available on request, as well as other dosing options, even combined ones.
- We can set the reverse flow direction (non-standard): from right to left.
- Upon special request, we can provide a reverse flow: from bottom to top, or a vertical installation.
- Connection to the water supply system using welded couplings.
- The water motor can be made of bronze for long-term resistance in seawater. Other materials are also available on request.
- EN 10204 type 3.1 Certificate for metal products, for the materials of the installed water motor, is available on request.
