FOAM-6F 6% AFFF (Aqueous Film-Forming Foam) foam concentrate utilises fluorinated and hydrocarbon surfactant technology to provide excellent suppression of Class B hydrocarbon fuel fires and vapours. This synthetic foam concentrate is designed for firefighting in 6% concentration with fresh, sea, or hard water.
FOAM-6F foam solution uses three suppression mechanisms designed to quickly suppress fire and provide adequate protection against re-ignition: the foam blanket blocks oxygen access to the fuel.
Liquid drains from the foam blanket and forms a water film that suppresses fuel vapours and seals the fuel surface.
The water content in the foam solution produces a cooling effect, providing additional fire suppression.

Application of FOAM-6F 6% AFFF foam concentrate:
FOAM-6F foam concentrate is used in high-risk conditions during the storage, processing, or transportation of hydrocarbons (e.g. diesel fuel, petrol, crude oil).
The chemical Filmosin is designed and recommended for rapid fire suppression to save human lives, in addition to preventing catastrophic fire development, which is particularly effective when used for firefighting with fire engines at airports and stationary firefighting systems at heliports.
The chemical Filmosin can also be used as a wetting agent in fighting fires in Class A materials, such as paper, wood and tyres. It is most suitable for simultaneous use with compatible powders in dual agents or fire extinguishers.
The chemical Filmosin is highly recommended for fire protection in the following areas:
- Airports and heliports
- Aviation hangars
- Industrial chemical and oil refining enterprises
- Loading/unloading facilities for trucks and railway cars
- Flammable liquid containment areas
- Hydrocarbon storage tanks and power stations
- Mobile equipment
- Sprinkler systems
- Loading (refuelling) systems
- Maritime terminals and vessels
Approvals, lists and standards
FOAM-6F complies with all national and international standards, directives EN 1568:2008, part 1, part 2, part 3, 96/98/EC. Afmer Chemicals CO. uses a management system that complies with the requirements of ISO 9001:2008.
Performance
FOAM-6F foaming agent is manufactured in accordance with strict quality control standards. After each batch of goods is produced, performance testing is carried out in the laboratories of Afmer Chemicals CO.
Compatibility of the FOAM-6F foaming agent:
The chemical Filmosin can be used in combination with:
- soft or hard water;
- fresh or sea water.
- dry powder extinguishing agents, either separately or in combination;
Expandable synthetic foams can be used for extinguishing grease or simultaneously.
The properties of the chemical Filmosin do not change in case of freezing. It regains its original properties as soon as it thaws.
Storage of FOAM-6F foaming agent
FOAM-6F foaming agent does not deteriorate during long-term storage. When stored properly in its original container, the shelf life can be up to 10 years. FOAM-6F foaming agent is suitable for storage in a steel tank.
